ABOUT PATRICIA VERHAGEN
Patricia Verhagen studied the piano at the Amsterdam Sweelinck Conservatory with Edith Lateiner and Willem Brons. After her graduation as a soloist she attended international masterclasses with Sandor Vegh, Vlado Perlemutter and others. Apart from her career as a soloist, Patricia Verhagen appeared with orchestras in a repertoire ranging from Bach to piano concertos of Mozart and Rachmaninoff.
VERSATILE MUSICIAN
Patricia Verhagen is a member of various chamber music ensembles. With the Kegelstatt trio Amsterdam she appeared regularly, toured in Singapore and Indonesia and recorded a CD with music of Bruch and Reinecke. With Paul Komen she recorded music for four hands of Schumann, Brahms and their comtempories Goetz and Dietrich. Her versatility is also illustrated by her piano part on the flamenco CD of Jacco Müller.
HISTORICAL INSTRUMENTS
Apart from the modern piano Patricia Verhagen also performs on period instruments, which resulted in invitations to perform in several festivals, such as the Berliner Tage für alte Musik and the Festival de Mùsica Antiga in Barcelona.
INTERNATIONAL CAREER
Patricia Verhagen performs in many countries: Germany, Belgium, Italy, France and of course the Netherlands. She toured in Indonesia and in India. In the Netherlands Antilles Patricia Verhagen played the program “Love and Dance with the Impressionists” and the spectacular program “Spanish Passion” with guitar and dance.
